Jane Austen -Jane and Cassandra Austen Tending their Steventon Garden by Amanda White
Steventon Rectory was the home of Jane Austen for the first 25 years of her life. It was demolished long ago by Jane's brother who built a new modern rectory elsewhere. Now nothing remains of the original building except a few engravings - and a water pump in what is now an empty field.
